The core advantage of container farms lies in "controllability". By adding thermal insulation layers, intelligent temperature control systems, and LED plant growth lights, the interior of the container can stably maintain a suitable temperature of 20-25°C and a light duration of 12-16 hours. It is not affected by extreme weather such as heavy rain, cold waves, or high temperatures outside, and can meet the growth needs of vegetables throughout the year. At the same time, the container's strong sealing performance can effectively isolate external pests, diseases, and pesticide residue pollution, ensuring vegetable safety from the perspective of the growing environment.
The matching soilless cultivation technology further enhances the quality of vegetables. Different from traditional soil-based cultivation that relies on soil fertility, soilless cultivation mainly adopts hydroponics and substrate cultivation. Through scientifically formulated nutrient solutions, it accurately supplies the nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and trace elements needed for vegetable growth, avoiding problems such as excessive heavy metals in soil and continuous cropping obstacles. Taking hydroponic lettuce as an example, its roots absorb the nutrient solution directly, so its growth rate is 30% faster than that of soil-grown lettuce. Moreover, its leaves are more tender, the taste is sweeter, and the vitamin C content is increased by about 15%.

This combined model also has the characteristics of environmental protection and high efficiency. Soilless cultivation uses a circular water supply system, and its water consumption is only 10% of that of traditional soil-based cultivation, greatly saving water resources. The modular design of containers can be flexibly placed on urban rooftops or open spaces in industrial parks, realizing "local cultivation and local supply", which reduces losses and carbon emissions during vegetable transportation. Nowadays, mini home-use container farms have emerged in many cities. Residents can remotely control the temperature and water the nutrient solution through mobile apps, easily harvesting fresh and safe vegetables.
